GOD

We believe there is one God, manifested in three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

1 John 5:7- "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."

Matthew 3:16-17- "And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: "And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

THE BIBLE

We believe the Bible is the inspired infallible Word of God.

2 Timothy 3:16- All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness

2 Peter 1:21- "For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost."

THE CHURCH

 

We believe the church is the Body of Christ. We believe the church is not a physical building but the universal body of baptized believers. We believe Jesus Christ is the founder and head of the church. We believe there is only one body and all other bodies are foreign to the will of God through the New Testament scriptures.

1 Corinthians 12:27- "Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular."

 

Matthew 16: 16-18- "And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. "And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. "And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." 

 

Colossians 1:18- "And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence."

SALVATION

We believe salvation is a gift from God made possible through Jesus Christ. We believe God used Jesus Christ to reconcile mankind back to God. He believe Jesus lived a sinless life, died on the cross, and was resurrected from the dead, He believe salvation can only be found in Jesus Christ. 

 

Romans 6:23- "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

 

Acts 4:10-12- "Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."

WATER BAPTISM

We believe water baptism (fully submerged) for the remission of sin is essential to salvation. 

 

Romans 6:3-4- "Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."

 

Galatians 3:27 "For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ."

 

Acts 2:38 "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."
